This week in Peace class we had an amazing trip to the art studio at Appledore School. We learnt how to mosaic like real artists and even made some showpieces to bring back to school.
This week across our Federation we had a visit from Google! The children had the opportunity to climb mountains, visit rainforests, take a trip into space and meet some naughty penguins – all from the comfort of our classroom. What an amazing experience!
This week in Peace we have been working on our persuasive language. We watched some over the top M&S food adverts for inspiration before creating our own! Well done guys!
Year 5 have begun Bikeability! We are enjoying learning how to look after our bikes, stay safe on the roads and be aware of traffic around us. A necessary life skill for us all.
This week in Peace Class we created our own Morse Code devices as part of our science day. The children worked brilliantly to make their own switches and create a device that would let them send secret messages. Well done guys and girls.
This week in Year 5 we have been coding and creating our own computer games! The children have worked super hard on a new programming language to code a micro:bit to run their own games. This is a first for St Margaret’s school! They turned out brilliantly, even Year 6 enjoyed them.
This week in Peace class we had the amazing opportunity to go to Bideford College and use their fully stocked workshops. We made biscuit cutters with a laser, we wrapped them in plastic using a vacuum former, cut them out using a gerbil cutter and then created bags for them using a sewing machine. What an awesome day 🙂
