This week in Wisdom we are really starting to focus on our SATs and practising a variety of questions. We are thinking about what the question is asking and how best to answer it. We have been trying to keep our bodies active to help the oxygen travel to our brain to help our concentration. This is a tag game that involves listening skills to be successful.
This week in Friendship class we have been learning about 3D shapes. We had to identify which 2D shapes we needed to use to make our 3D shape with our partner.
This week we began our new topic entitled ‘Wish you were here…?’
We began by finding out about what life was like for the Victorians. Part of our research involved us using a website to search census data from 1891 to find out about the people who lived in Northam at that time.
We have investigated the river bank today with a lovely long walk! We found lots of evidence of habitats and river bank animal trails.
We have visited the river today to investigate the geographical features. We enjoyed looking for river bank habitats and found lots of animal tracks. Fun was had by all!
This week we have been learning all about shapes. We had to construct a 3D shape from art straws with a partner. We made many different 3D shapes. We had to have good team work and accurate measuring. They are all now hanging up in our classroom. Which 3D shape do you think we are making here?
